Revelation by piecemeal

But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept: line upon line, line upon line; here a little and there a little..... (Isaiah 28 :13)
Thus, the Qur'an was revealed piecemeal, but the Christian
Gospel, according to Christian doctors is not a divine revelation but a work of
the disciples. It appears from the aforesaid verse that it was imperative for
the Gospel to have been revealed and revealed piecemeal. But according to our
(Muslim) belief the Gospel that was given to Jesus (pbuh) was revealed once only
in a book form and not revealed bit by bit like the Qur'an*. "
We have
revealed the Qur'an in portion so that thou recitest it to men in right
order" (Holy Qur'an 17 :106). "And those who disbelieve say: Why is the
Qur'an not revealed unto him all at once? It is revealed thus that we may
strengthen thy heart herewith: and we have arranged it in a right order"
(Holy Qur'an 25:32 )
note :
* And whatever it was did not last long, it was first embellished and then replaced altogether by narrations made by others about Jesus.; the earliest of which was composed about a century after Jesus, when people had begun to doubt the existence of the very person of Jesus.
