What Bible and Qur'an says about Day
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness
And God called light Day, and darkness he called night ". (Genesis Chapter1; verse 3-5)
And God made two greet lights ; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also .
And the evening and the morning were the fourth day (Genesis 1: 14 -19)
Cross Question :
This is scientifically unacceptable to believe ? before the creation of the stars which produce this light ; the existence of an evening and a morning before the creation of the Earth ; the creation of the Earth on the third day before that of the Sun on the fourth day. How possible the earth get the light when the sun was created on the fourth day ? It contradicts with the scientific facts and the rational Ideas that with the rotation of the earth we get the day and night ?so without the sun how did they calculated the day ? Without Sun no light . Do you think that this is God's word ? So surely this cannot be the God's word at all. these statements are the result of beliefs prevalent at the time this text was written and do not have any other meaning
Here is the order in the first (Genesis 1), the Priestly tradition:
Day 1: Sky, Earth, light
Day 2: Water, both in ocean basins and above the sky(!)
Day 3: Plants
Day 4: Sun, Moon, stars (as calendrical and navigational aids)
Day 5: Sea monsters (whales), fish, birds, land animals, creepy-crawlies
(reptiles, insects, etc.)
Day 6: Humans (apparently both sexes at the same time)
Day 7: Nothing (the Gods took the first day off anyone ever did)
